It is supposed to offer unsurpassed web browsing experience. Smells like a take at the Apple iPhone's main selling point. Although the LG LH2300 is not fit for GSM networks commonly used back here in old Europe, it's a good guess that a European version might also spawn in the near future.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"><br />Packing a wide 3-inch touch-sensitive display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, the LG LH2300 is targeting the Internet phone market that isn't quite crowded yet. The display is pitched as capable of displaying 26 million colors and is produced by Sharp.</span><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181309702655330802" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Cl6YVRItTzk/R-e1uQoOSfI/AAAAAAAAA28/vZ_WxrmgLVU/s400/lg.jpg" border="0" /><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">The LH2300 uses a unique Hello UI that arranges all your contacts info in icons that you just drag-and-drop in order to use them. For example you can drag-and-drop icons of your favorite contacts to your mobile desktop and then when you type a message, you just drag and drop it on the icon. If you want to make a call, simply drag-and-drop the contact's icon to the call button on the bottom of the screen. </span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"><br />The LG LH2300 is further equipped with a 3 megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilization, and face detection. There is also a DMB tuner to enjoy mobile TV on the go, Bluetooth 2.0 and a microSD card slot.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;font-size:85%;">[source : </span><a href="http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_to_offer_a_touch_web_phone-news-462.php"><span style="font-family:verdana;font-size:85%;">gsmarena</span></a><span style="font-family:verdana;font-size:85%;">]</span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><p><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/MobileDunia"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~fc/MobileDunia?bg=FF9933&fg=000066&anim=0" height="26" width="88" style="border:0" alt="" /></a></p></div>Babuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11738376919669151318noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8573331988831737305.post-31685160677226712572008-03-19T03:50:00.000+06:002008-03-19T04:02:57.502+06:00World’s thinnest 8 megapixel cameraphone module by Samsung<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Cl6YVRItTzk/R-A74tDIu-I/AAAAAAAAA20/jh_WX7GS4ys/s1600-h/sam.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179205416827534306" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Cl6YVRItTzk/R-A74tDIu-I/AAAAAAAAA20/jh_WX7GS4ys/s400/sam.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><span style="font-family:verdana;">Samsung announced the world's thinnest 8 megapixel module to integrate in mobile phones. 8.5 mm thick, the module is a glimpse into how the future is shaping for Samsung cameraphones. Hell, my first cellphone was a StarTAC, and I’ve had a couple of other handsets with the swooping M logo since. So it’s nice to see a cellphone that actually looks to be going in the right direction (unlike the dreary announcements at the Mobile World Congress); a sales spec sheet for the MOTO Z9 has leaked out, and it shows that Motorola do actually know a little about what their target audience is wanting. In this case, it’s a quadband slider with HSDPA, A-GPS and WMP11.</span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span></div><div><span style="font-family:verdana;">Going head-to-head with Samsung’s U700 and Nokia’s 6500, the Z9 will have 45MB of internal memory and microSDHC compatibility up to 8GB, CrystalTalk background noise reduction and a 2.4-inch QVGA display. A 2-megapixel camera with flash and USB 2.0 port, together with music control keys that light up when appropriate, round out the specs.</span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:verdana;">No suggestion of release date yet, but if they’re putting sales literature together then it’s fair to assume they’ll be launching it soon. </span></div><div><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span></div><div><span style="font-family:verdana;">You can see the full </span><a href="http://www.phonemag.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/motorola_moto_z9_sales_sheet.pdf" target="_blank"><span style="font-family:verdana;">sales sheet here</span></a><span style="font-family:verdana;">.</span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span></div><div><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-size:85%;">[source : </span><a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.unwiredview.com"><span style="font-size:85%;">unwiredview</span></a><span style="font-size:85%;">]</span></span></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><p><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/MobileDunia"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~fc/MobileDunia?bg=FF9933&fg=000066&anim=0" height="26" width="88" style="border:0" alt="" /></a></p></div>Babuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11738376919669151318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8573331988831737305.post-25404616634817995192008-03-17T03:23:00.002+06:002008-03-17T03:31:22.190+06:00Kodak sees picture of future in high-quality camera phones<span style="font-family:verdana;">Camera phone snapshots are, by and large, like fast food - convenient, yet not usually all that good. But their popularity is exploding, with more Americans today having camera phones than digital cameras.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Now Eastman Kodak Co., one of the world's largest makers of digital cameras, is banking on camera phones appearing on the market by next year that shoot high-quality, 5-megapixel digital photos. Those photos would be due to a new line of inexpensive image sensors Kodak is starting to market. The push into the CMOS image sensor business comes as Kodak is in the midst of a 10-year research-and-development collaboration with cell phone giant Motorola Inc. Kodak Chief Executive Officer Antonio M. Perez said earlier this year that within the next six months, the two companies will roll out the first products to have a Kodak contribution.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Camera phones are increasingly ubiquitous. The number in the United States leaped from 48 million in November 2005 to 132 million in November 2007, according to the research firm M:Metrics.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Meanwhile, the number of digital cameras in the country hit 106 million in 2007, according to the Photo Marketing Association.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Both Kodak and some industry experts see camera phones as complementary to digital cameras rather than as a product line that will cannibalize digital camera sales.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">"The camera phone is almost getting more people interested in photography," says Carrie Sylvester, a senior research analyst for InfoTrends, an imaging industry market research firm. "They're using those for spontaneous, fun shots."</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">"I don't think anyone would take a cell phone to a daughter's graduation or other special event," said Kodak President Philip Faraci.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Kodak displayed a prototype of its tiny CMOS sensor last month in a meeting with major investors in New York City and at a major trade show, the GSMA Mobile World Conference, in Barcelona, Spain.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">The sensor chip is an industry standard quarter-inch size. But while standard camera phone sensors top out at about 3 million pixels in that footprint, Kodak is promising sensors with 5 million pixels packed in - and thus 5-megapixel images.Kodak also promises better results when pictures are taken in low light</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Kodak plans to start shipping samples to prospective customers this spring, with expectations of selling large volumes later in the year. Production of the sensors will be outsourced to Taiwan, McNiffe says.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Kodak's sensor business remains a small part of the Rochester-based photo and imaging company overall, Perez says. "It's going to take time for us to build significant revenue, no doubt," he says.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">The CMOS sensor business is dominated by a few giants, including Sony, Samsung and Micron Technology.</span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><p><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/MobileDunia"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~fc/MobileDunia?bg=FF9933&fg=000066&anim=0" height="26" width="88" style="border:0" alt="" /></a></p></div>Babuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11738376919669151318noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8573331988831737305.post-88578084422567604012008-03-17T03:18:00.001+06:002008-03-17T03:23:34.231+06:00Sony Ericsson New Patent<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Cl6YVRItTzk/R92PX9DIu8I/AAAAAAAAA2k/rkuuzWY7C7w/s1600-h/patent22.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5178452788233419714" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Cl6YVRItTzk/R92PX9DIu8I/AAAAAAAAA2k/rkuuzWY7C7w/s320/patent22.jpg" border="0" /></a><span style="font-family:verdana;"><br /></span><div><span style="font-family:verdana;">Sony Ericsson has filed another patent, called "Portable electronic device with multiple input interfaces".<br /></span></div><div><blockquote><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span></blockquote><span style="font-family:verdana;">An electronic device has a main body, a flip attached to the main body and multiple input interfaces. The Sony Ericsson T303 has been rumored throughout the past week and now it finally meets the bright light of day.</span> <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5173904458307319218" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Cl6YVRItTzk/R81msTs3tbI/AAAAAAAAA0M/24gWPITQRwE/s320/se+t303.jpg" border="0" /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Sony Ericsson T303 has a nice appearance thanks to its metal housing and chrome finish, as well as a mirrored screen. The 65K TFT display itself is rather small with its 1.8" and 128 x 160 pixels resolution.</span><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5173904462602286530" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Cl6YVRItTzk/R81msjs3tcI/AAAAAAAAA0U/Lr3Lhv0yRoM/s320/se+t303-2.jpg" border="0" /><span style="font-family:verdana;">The phone is packed with decent set of features as FM Radio, TrackID, 1.3 megapixel camera and Bluetooth. A serious downside however is that the T303 doesn't have a memory card slot, while its internal memory is only 8MB.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"><br />Sony Ericsson T303 measures 83 x 47 x 14.7 mm and weighs 93 grams and will be available in Shimmering Silver and Shadow Black colors.</span><br /></span><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5173904471192221138" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Cl6YVRItTzk/R81mtDs3tdI/AAAAAAAAA0c/jng_oliVkiI/s320/se+t303-3.jpg" border="0" /><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Sony Ericsson T303/T303c is a tri-band GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 phone for Europe and China respectively but there is also an American version T303a with GSM/GPRS 850/1800/1900 bands support.A certain point of interest is that the Sony Ericsson T303 follows the new Sony Ericsson naming convention that I posted earlier. </span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;">Sony Ericsson T303 will be available is selected markets from mid 2008.</span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><p><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/MobileDunia"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~fc/MobileDunia?bg=FF9933&fg=000066&anim=0" height="26" width="88" style="border:0" alt="" /></a></p></div>Babuhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11738376919669151318noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8573331988831737305.post-15959752361402124332008-03-04T20:49:00.004+06:002008-03-04T21:09:26.866+06:00Samsung G400 Soul Clamshell to launch at CeBit<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Cl6YVRItTzk/R81k3js3taI/AAAAAAAAA0E/VfObHp9Bquc/s1600-h/samsung-g400.jpg"></a><span style="font-family:verdana;">The Samsung G400 Soul has a high-gloss brushed metal finish and a rich touch-centric user interface. The unique about the Samsung G400 Soul is that it has two identical displays - a 2.22-inch 262K color one on the outside, and a 2.22-inch 262K color one on the inside. The external display is fully touch-operated and gives access to multimedia features such as FM radio, music player, camera, and photos. It also displays the phone's system notifications. The external display also provides haptic feedback with short vibrations when touched.
