LG KF300 with Wine Color Details

LG finally revealed the mysterious LG KF300 - a name tag that surfaced not long ago without any further information available. As it turns out, the LG KF300 is the GSM variant of the CDMA-only LG SV300 Wine phone.

With large alphanumeric keys and hardware shortcuts for the most frequently used features, the LG KF300 is not loaded with high-end features, but then again, it's not meant to be the next do-it-all multimedia device. And it's certainly the most feature-rich handset optimized for the elder customers that we've seen so far.

LG Introduce a Touch Web phone

LG will offer their latest LG LH2300 Touch Web phone in Korea market. It is supposed to offer unsurpassed web browsing experience. Smells like a take at the Apple iPhone's main selling point. Although the LG LH2300 is not fit for GSM networks commonly used back here in old Europe, it's a good guess that a European version might also spawn in the near future.

Packing a wide 3-inch touch-sensitive display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, the LG LH2300 is targeting the Internet phone market that isn't quite crowded yet. The display is pitched as capable of displaying 26 million colors and is produced by Sharp.

The LH2300 uses a unique Hello UI that arranges all your contacts info in icons that you just drag-and-drop in order to use them. For example you can drag-and-drop icons of your favorite contacts to your mobile desktop and then when you type a message, you just drag and drop it on the icon. If you want to make a call, simply drag-and-drop the contact's icon to the call button on the bottom of the screen.

The LG LH2300 is further equipped with a 3 megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilization, and face detection. There is also a DMB tuner to enjoy mobile TV on the go, Bluetooth 2.0 and a microSD card slot.

Alltell/ LG Glimmer touchscreen slider now official

The news about upcoming Alltel LG Glimmer handset have been leaked on Howard Forums a few weeks ago.
Today LG Glimmer phone for Alltel has been announced officially. At least by LG.

LG Glimmer (LG-AX830) is an interesting development on a highly popular LG Black label series Shine phone platform. LG kept the cool looks and form factor of Shine phones intact, made a display 0.6″ bigger and added touchscreen capabilities to it.

LG phone with AMOLED only for Korea

The SH150A, unveiled today in Korea, is LG's latest HSDPA Phone at 7.2MBps. One of its main features has got to be the AMOLED screen, exact dimensions are not stated.

Other stuff includes: DMB, multimedia player, 2 MPx digicam and much more... So far available only in Korea at 440000Won (~318Euros).

LG Phones to Appear in Hollywood Blockbuster

LG Electronics has partnered with Paramount Pictures to showcase the Korean company's high-tech mobile phones in the upcoming Hollywood movie Iron Man.

"Set to open before June, the action film based on a comic book tells the story of a weapons designer who builds a robotic suit of armor to battle evil. In the movie, actor Robert Downey Jr. who plays Iron Man will use an LG mobile TV phone while his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow will use a touchscreen smartphone that was released in Europe last October.

"The futuristic film coupled with the phones' high-tech, innovative image will likely produce immense brand promotion effects," a senior official at LG's North American cell phone unit said. "

LG KF600 InteractPad Phone Officially Announced Worldwide

Today LG KF600 phone has been officially announced and it will be available worldwide. This month LG KF600 will start shipping in China, Mexico, Brazil and Turkey (what an interesting choice of the initial markets), and in February it will become available for the rest of us.

The most interesting feature in LG KF600 is it’s InteractPad, which is an interactive touchscreen, in the place where the control/navigation pad used to be. The controls on the InteractPad change based on the mode the device is in. The control pad can be used as a secondary display as well.

LG KF600 specs include 2.5G GSM/GPRS/Edge connectivity, 3 megapixel camera, main 240×320 QVGA display, 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, media player, Bluetooth and USB 2.0.

LG KF600 heads for China

Here is the new LG KF-600. It uses the same interactive touchpad technology found on the LG Venus. This China-bound handset features dual screen displays, where the bottom segment is called InteractPad which can be programmed to accomodate device modes with the specific controls you require.

For instance, it functions as intuitive media controls for audio playback, a scroll wheel for long lists, a zoom dial whenever you want to snap images with its 3 megapixel camera, and even provide extra input keys whenever you want to compose a text message. The LG KF600 also comes with GPRS and EDGE connectivity (what, no 3G? That's a travesty by today's standards), a 240 × 320 QVGA main display, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivity.
No word on pricing in China though.

LG Viewty launched in India

LG Electronics launched LG Viewty, the professional-level camera phone which boasts of a number of 'world's first' easy-to-use features.The touchscreen Viewty comes with 5MP camera with a Xenon flash. The handset includes manual focus, which enables the camera to focus on any point at the users' convenience. The SmartLight and one-touch image stabilizer help in clicking clear photos even in poor light or shaking conditions.

The Viewty claims to be world's first mobile with 120fps video recording function. The phone also lets users edit image on the 3-inch LCD screen with its handwriting editing function. A jog wheel placed on the back of the handset allows for quick scrolling and searching; and when playing music or videos it can turn the volume up and down, fast-forward or rewind and zoom in and out.

The phone also lets users select the modes – Camera, Video, Album with the three-step module key.The LG Viewty is available in the market for Rs. 21,900.

Not a Rumor, the LG Rumor has Issues

Sprint has halted shipping new LG LX260 Rumor units to stores. The LG Rumor has a known issue where certain sets of key presses during startup can trigger a complete erasure of the phone's firmware.

Sprint has isolated the issue to a specific debugging menu, intended for LG engineers to work on the device during development. Unfortunately, the menu is triggered by accessing the main menu, and/or dialing phone numbers. Sprint has not disclosed the specific code, to prevent abuse.

Clarification: The trigger is timed to function only at start up. To work around the issue, we suggest not pressing any buttons on the phone for at least 30 seconds after it has fully powered on.

The phone, once triggered, cannot be restored except at the factory. The debugging code even erases the portions of the firmware that would allow a Sprint Store to recover the device (requiring what is known in the industry as a JTAG restore, which can only be done at the LG factory or in a lab setting).

LG is working to fix the issue, by creating an updated firmware that removes the code from being accessible. Once that firmware is issued and approved, existing customers will be able to download the update over-the-air at no charge. Sprint intends to resume shipments of the LX260 Rumor to stores once devices can ship with the forthcoming update already installed.

This is the second phone in a row to need shipments halted from LG on Sprint. The LG LX160 had hardware-level issues preventing the speakerphone and caller ID display from working properly. Sprint halted shipments of the LX160 to stores until the issue could be resolved, and replaced phones for free, provided the Sprint Store had been properly informed of the silent recall.

LG KH1800 known as the Orange phone

Check it out - the oranges are in the picture because the phone has orange on it! Funny!! Its 13.3mm and a slider, I love sliders, but they are always so thick, I guess this one is the exception. It has MP3 playback, a dictionary, camera, and 3G thanks to WCDMA.

Sadly though it will never see the light of day stateside, its headed only to Korea’s KTF network and will cost the equivalent of about $372 USD. There is no T-DMB in this phone.

LG launch 'Viewty' phone in Korea

LG finally launched ‘Viewty phone (model: LG-SH210/ KH2100/LH2100)' its Korea market. Since it was unveiled at IFA last September, the Viewty phone was introduced to fourteen European countries in late October, middle-east and Africa market in mid November, and now the company finally presented the phone in the home market.

According to the company, the name ‘LG Viewty’ has been chosen to encapsulate the enjoyment of viewing and sharing high-quality photos. The main feature of the Viewty phone is its built-in 5mpx camera with autofocus(manual focusing optional), Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens, and image stabilizer features. It also allows users to edit their images as they want with ‘hand writing’ features on the 3-inch touch screen.

Korean customers can organize all the pictures taken by the Viewty phone easily on LG Cyon homepage (www.cyon.co.kr) and they can upload them on the other networking websites immediately.

The Viewty phone will be available as 3G handset through SKT, KTF and LGT in Korea market. And it comes in two colors-black and dark silver with-with a price tag of 737,000(KRW).

LG Venus in pink emerges on Verizon Wireless

It's not like we haven't seen this thing in passing before, but the pink LG Venus is finally official and available now on Verizon Wireless. Feature wise, this one offers up no extras not already found on the black iteration, but just in case you needed a refresher, you'll find a 2-megapixel camera, VZ Navigator capability, a microSD expansion slot and built-in Bluetooth.

LG Chocolate phone exceeded 15 million units in sales globally

Domestic mobile phone maker recorded more than 15 million units in sales globally for the first time. LG electronics (www.lge.com CEO Nam, Young) said on the 5th that 15 million units of its chocolate phone were sold in the world on the 3rd for the first time. LG marked the milestone in two years since the company launched the phone in November 2005 in Korea, in 18 months since the company rolled out the product in May 2006 in the world.

Chocolate phones were launched in 100 countries and recoded 10 million units in sales in mid-April. After recording the first “10 million seller at LG electronics,” the phones sold steadily, recoding 13 million units in sale in mid August, and 14 million units at the end of September. Places like Japan, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa where the phone were introduced relatively late are seeing increased sales.

At the third quarter, Chocolate phone was sold at around 200 dollars on average, helping the company to record solid sales performance. LG electronics expects to see more than 20 million units in sales if the current trends continue.

An interesting fact about 15 million.....If line up 15 million chocolate phones, it is about 61,430 square meters, which is six times lager than lawn soccer field of Seoul World Cup Stadium.

LG Rhapsody LB3300 Music Phone

In addition to the affordable Samsung F250 Music Slider, there’s also another music phone being launched today.
