Domestic mobile phone maker recorded more than 15 million units in sales globally for the first time. LG electronics (www.lge.com CEO Nam, Young) said on the 5th that 15 million units of its chocolate phone were sold in the world on the 3rd for the first time. LG marked the milestone in two years since the company launched the phone in November 2005 in Korea, in 18 months since the company rolled out the product in May 2006 in the world.

At the third quarter, Chocolate phone was sold at around 200 dollars on average, helping the company to record solid sales performance. LG electronics expects to see more than 20 million units in sales if the current trends continue.
An interesting fact about 15 million.....If line up 15 million chocolate phones, it is about 61,430 square meters, which is six times lager than lawn soccer field of Seoul World Cup Stadium.
